Oscar August Parrish
Salineville - Oscar August Parrish, 68, died at his home
with his family present on Friday morning.
He was born October 20, 1943 in Aliquippa, a son of the late Dale and
Martha Mutkus Parrish.
Oscar lived all his life in this area, served in the United States Army
and worked at Stevenson Manufacturing for 24 years. He enjoyed watching
TV, and playing with his grandchildren.
Oscar will be sadly missed by his wife of 47 years, Joyce Bidwell Parrish;
one daughter Linda (Mark) Madison of Salineville; one son Larry (Chris)
Parrish of Augusta, Ohio; five brothers, George Parrish of Salineville,
Ray (Nancy) Parrish of Wellsville, Albert (Debbie) Parrish of East Palestine,
Robert Parrish of Toronto, and Harry (RuthAnn) Parrish of Texas; one
sister, Bertha Stacey of Wyo.; nine grandchildren, Larry Parrish Jr.,
of Salineville, Natalie, Devon, Nick, and Dustin Parrish of Augusta,
Brittney and Jesse Madison of Salineville, Brian Parrish and Rachel
Crawford of Fla.; four great grandchildren, McKenley Garrison of Salineville,
and Christopher, Daniel and William Crawford of Fla.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Oscar Parrish
Jr.; one brother, William (Bill) Parrish; one sister, Sharon Allen;
two sisters-in-law, Karen Parrish and Darlene Parrish.
Services will be held Sunday 4 p.m. at the Kerr-Pastore
Funeral Home in Salineville, Ohio, with Pastor Pat Smith of the Salineville
United Methodist Church officiating with full military honors accorded.
Family and friends may call at the funeral from 2 p.m. until time of
service.
