Hazel M. Hogue

Salineville - Hazel M. Hogue, 103 of Maple Hill died Friday afternoon at the family home.

She was born November 23, 1908 in Empire, Ohio the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Rouse Garren.

Hazel lived all her life in this area and was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Salineville Assembly of God Church where she taught the beginners class for many years. Hazel was also a charter member of the Women’s Ministry group of the church. She enjoyed making lap robes for shut-ins and sending get well cards.

She will be sadly missed by her son Larry (Barbara) Hogue of Highlandtown; two daughters, Norma Hogue of East Liverpool and Vivian (Don ) Fryman of Salem; one sister, Hilda Stoffer of Minerva; 2 grandchildren; Bruce (Barbara) Fryman of Plant City , Florida, and Sharon (Steve) Sitler of Leetonia, and 4 great grandchildren; Kayla and Valerie Sitler of Leetonia and Bruce Jr. and Amanda Fryman of Plant City, Florida.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Ross Dean Hogue in 1969; one son, Gary Hogue; and 6 brothers; Ralph Garren, Albert Garren, Eugene Garren, Howard Garren, Clifford Garren, and Carl Garren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, at 1:00 PM at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville, with Pastor Rodney Ohler of the Salineville Assembly of God Church officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral home Sunday 6-8 PM.
