Gerald "Scott" Thomas

Salineville - Gerald "Scott" Thomas, 43, of 3 John Street, died late Tuesday night at his home.

He was born in Salem, Ohio November 16, 1968, a son of the late Dean "Fibber" Thomas and Nancy Cechura Thomas.

Scott lived all his life in this area, graduated from Southern Local High School and worked as a laborer. He grew up in the Assembly of God Church and loved to hunt and trap. He was a loving and dedicated father to all his children.

He will be sadly missed by his mother Nancy Cechura Thomas of Salineville and his wife Sharlene at home; two brothers, John Thomas and Aaron Thomas both of Salineville; two sisters, Theresa Thomas and Nanette (John) Brown both of Salineville; eight children, Jaramiah Thomas, Tosha Thomas, Tyler Ayers, Colin Ayers, Isaiah Ayers, Montana Thomas, Cody Woy and Jonathan Woy.

He was preceded in death by his father Dean Fibber Thomas.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville with the pastor Rodney Ohler of the Salineville Assembly of God Church officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00AM on Saturday until time of service.
